Daniel Butchart is a certified Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS), operator.

His interest in the robotic aviation field and photography began in 2014. At this time he flew and captured photo and video images to gain experience with the advancing technology. This keen interest led to a decision to become certified as a civil and commercial licensee in drone piloting. On October 30th, 2015 Daniel completed the Unmanned Systems Canada ground school. Also the Restricted Radio Operator Aeronautical Course.

Skysight is the beginning of an exciting chapter in Daniel Butchart’s life. He recently moved to Qualicum Beach B.C.  to pursue his dream of meeting Vancouver Islands growing needs for aerial imagery and assessment. The Construction, Realestate, Forestry, and Recreation industries are set to benefit from this exciting new technology as well as Daniel’s ability to develop solutions for them. Exciting projects lie in the future.
His career has seen stints in photography, video editing, and construction and Daniel is looking forward to seeing where Skysight will take him.
